Cédric Tiberghien teams up with Karina Canellakis and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra this weekend in celebration of Ravel’s 150th anniversary year. Cédric joins the orchestra at the Concertgebouw for the composer’s Piano Concerto in G, presented as part of a programme that also features the world premiere of Hawar Tawfiq’s rIJks and Bartók’s The Wooden Prince.

Ravel was also on the programme when Cédric and Karina joined forces last season for a series of concerts with the San Francisco Symphony, as well as for his debut with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He will be reunited with Karina and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic next season for Messiaen’s Turangalîla Symphony.

Next season also sees Cédric return to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto, and make debuts with the Boulez Ensemble, as well as with the Trondheim and Antwerp symphony orchestras, both under the baton of Nuno Coelho.

Before that, Cédric gives performances next month of concerti by Bartók and Shostakovich with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin with Matthias Pintscher, and the Orchestre National de France and Simone Young respectively.
